Classification & Exemption Audit
Parcels whose taxing class, use code, or
exemption status looks inconsistent with the rest of the record —
surfaced as candidates for an assessor to review.
These are heuristic flags for review — not determinations.
Each flag is a rule-of-thumb that matched a pattern in the data; false positives are
expected (e.g. a charity on an exempt parcel, a snowbird with a second-home mailing
address, or a stale land-use code). Nothing here changes a classification — every flagged parcel
must be verified against the records on file before any action. Why each parcel fired is shown in
its note column.
